february in saratoga, new york.
she is standing next to one of her
owners, michael sentiwany.
she won't race for a while
because she has to grow up.

when i flipped over this cd
i saw it was from a big label,
so i thought it would sound
extra polished.

i listened as i logged music
this morning and each song
snuck into my hazy morning
ears. the songs make poppy
footsteps and then all of the
sudden trip into exciting folk
like creations.
they get slow, drippy,
then fast and then poppy.

i left albany for
some days in the
ocean state
called maine. and
when we came back
the city looked even
a little bit different.

the albany coffee shop
i always think i can hear
the folding chairs of ghosts
scrapping against the
linoleum floor as they get up
to bring a dish to the counter.

seems like many diners
have dined there. happily.

it wasn't open when
